Hey everyone hope you guys had a good week! This was just a normal week of missionary work.
Tuesday and Wednesday was just normal
days really. Since our area is small and we don't have a lot of
Hispanics we tried to contact a lot of old investigators. We got in with
some and we will see how it goes with them.
Thursday we had dinner with a recent
convert we are trying to get to the temple and that went pretty good. He
seems excited, but at the same time we don't know because he was
playing Xbox and talking with us at the same time haha! Friday we had a
branch Valentine's Day dinner that was pretty good. Kind of funny they where listening to Spanish love songs in the church and some of the songs made me laugh haha!
We helped out a less active member
his week with re-modeling his house. It came in handy since I already
know what he was trying to do, so I got to show him some of my skills in
that department. We went over there to try and get them to church and
talk with their kids about baptism because they are of age and haven't
been baptized yet. They want to be baptized but their parents are a
little iffy so we'll see what happens with them. We got them to church this week along with their less a active mom, and brother. It was really good to see them there!
A lot of things have been on my mind
this week and the one thing I need to try and do better is be more
grateful. I was thinking of that because there are so many great things
out there in this world and I don't even realize it. We are so blessed
to have what we have. Like I said there have been so many great things
come to pass, but the greatest thing that we have is the restored gospel
here on the earth for our time. We have the fullness of the gospel in
our hands, living prophets and apostles, and we have the priesthood.
What more do you need? We need to take advantage of these things and do
everything we can so we will be ready for what is to come!
Love you all and hope you have a great week!
